Portrait - Posed
In this
specialty, I have tried to use images that were specifically posed
for
or by the photographer. There are images in the 'People' specialty
that were posed, but in here these images were intended for obtaining
the
best one out of several shots of the subject(s).
My brother Mike, in 1958, for my first posed set of pictures.
My second posed subject was Margaret Young (no relation), Her parents
wanted a color school type photograph of their daughter in the spring of
1959. This was taken at Margaret's house in Seattle, Washington while
I was in High School.
Margaret's friend, Susan Schreiber, sat for me for a similar set of images
also in the spring of 1959, across the street from my house in Seattle.
Nancy Maddox sat for me toward the end of the 1959 school year, also in Seattle,
Washington. This was the last time I attempted portraiture photography, until I
got my first digital camera in the winter of 2002.
A young couple, recently married, asked me to take a set of images while they
were on the RMS Queen Mary, in Long Beach, CA on October 25, 2002.
During the wedding reception of a close friend, I took images of family members
showing four generations of ladies in Phelan, California on November 30, 2002.

the most photogenic children that has ever sat for me.

After nearly an hour, I had this image, and we were all very pleased!

Ironically and tragically, this young mother would die of an brain aneurysm in less
than 18 months.
My granddaughter, Monica, age 6 months, was pretty good for her age at sitting
for grandfather's photography, here in Renton, Washington on December 26, 2006.
Two young crowned 'Queens' help at the annual Wrightwood Valentine's Day
dinner/dance sponsored by the Lion's Club on February 10, 2007. The author
has been asked to do the photography at this event for the last four years
(2007-2010).

A Court of Honor for Kaden and Devin Peek with mother, father and two younger
brothers on December 19, 2009 in Wrightwood. Kaden and Devin received their
Eagle Scout Awards the same night.
